About Me
Welcome to my page. This site was originally created to host discussions for an Honors Chaos & Fractals class that I was enrolled in during the Fall '07 semester at LaSalle University. This page is also being used for my homepage for Android Development. To check out what I have done for Android, please see the Android Development Page

Education
I have since from LaSalle University in 2008. I graduated MagnaCum Laude with a B.S in Computer Science and a B.S. in Mathematics and received the distinguished honor of General University Honors for completing the Honors Program.

While at LaSalle, I had many courses in software development, database applications and design, and project management. I was exposed to a wide variety of programming languages such as Java, VB.Net, C#.Net, and ASP and used Access, Oracle, and SQL Server for database development. For my senior capstone, I was responsible for developing a 3 tiered application utilizing the Waterfall methodology of the Software Development Life Cycle. My group project involved creating an event registration system where users could sign up for available events based on their role. This project was started by gathering up the requirements and creating a formal requirements document. We then began coding to those requirements using SQL Server 2005 as our backend, C#.Net 2.0 as our mid-tier to interact between our backend and UI, and ASP as our front end UI.

Career
Bisys Retirement Services
June 2007 - December 2007
Position: Internship
Summary: My internship at Bisys Retirement Services was a position as a .Net developer. I worked mainly in C# in both the .Net 1.1 framework as well as the .Net 2.0 framework. I was responsible for automating their build process by incorporating Cruise Control into a custom build.

The Vanguard Group
June 2008 - Present
Position: Mid-Tier Developer
Summary: All of my projects have been developed using the Agile methodology of the SDLC. I interact with our business clients to gather requirements for the system and then tailor the product to meet their needs. I am responsible for developing in Java and handling the interaction of the UI of both the Web and internal applications with the backend systems. I have also converted legacy VB6 applications to VB.Net in the 3.5 framework. I have done a substantial amount of VB.Net development to interact with high speed scanners and route work to the proper business unit. I have also created a build process for this application which runs our full suite of unit tests. I have had experience developing in Oracle as well.

(1.) Ted discussed the new version of Biflab that he updated from the Original MS DOS program. His program is called the Logistic Population Model and had many advanced features that the original Biflab did not have. He included a zoom feature that was much easier to use along with a more user-friendly interface. He gave us a run through of the program and showed us the types of commands he had to use to write the program.

(2.) Ted’s project consisted of interactively modeling chaos through graphing the logistics model.

(3&4.) Considering that in the original Biflab you could change the function that was being graphed, is it possible for one without a background in the Visual Studio 2005 program to edit the model for a different function? If not, can you design it so that there is an easy access feature to change the function of the graph?
Do you find this valuable?
